This season, the Vila Lisa accommodation competed for and won the prestigious Green Key certificate in the field of sustainable tourism.

The Green Key certificate is the leading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation in the tourism industry.

The Vila Lisa facility was completely renovated and energy-sanitized. This reduced energy consumption by half. All machines and devices in the facility are energy class A.

All bed linen and blankets are made of organic cotton, which also provides the guest with healthy and environmentally friendly accommodation.

Water is our commodity, which is taken care of in the accommodation in such a way that rainwater is collected, which is used to flush the toilets and the washing machine.

We direct our guests to providers for renting electric and regular bicycles, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint. With this, we want to reduce traffic in the valley and enable the guest to experience a trip where they see significantly more and also experience more than if they drive across the landscape in a car.

In order to preserve local producers of organic food, we encourage our guests to eat local food by informing them that they can buy homemade products from Savinja farms in the vending machines next to the TIC.

In the valley, we also have excellent restaurants that are on the Michelin list. We inform our guests about local restaurants with promotional materials available. In this way, we encourage and connect local tourism in the valley and throughout Slovenia.
